Curiosity in Action

Curriculum: 2s Class

TWOS

Teacher to Student Ratio 1:5

Two-year-olds are endlessly curious, and our Giraffes class channels that energy into meaningful exploration and growth. This is a time when toddlers begin asserting independence, experimenting with language, and testing boundaries—and our preschool curriculum for two-year-olds is designed to meet them with patience, creativity, and joyful structure.

In the 2s classroom, we use play-based learning to introduce themes like nature, community, and celebration. Children plant seeds in pretend farms, march in animal parades, and explore the changing seasons with songs and crafts. Through these immersive experiences, they practice important early learning skills: following instructions, working together, and trying new things.

Our preschool teachers support each child’s emerging communication and self-regulation by offering consistent routines, warm guidance, and lots of encouragement. We also prioritize outdoor play and sensory exploration, where big feelings and big ideas can be expressed safely and freely. The 2s are always on the move, and our curriculum moves with them—growing alongside their developing brains and hearts.
